Innoveat Case Study: The London Deli Co.

Innoveat is the perfect opportunity for travel and leisure buyers and food producers to meet up directly and discuss new and exciting collaborations. This case study of The London Deli Co. is just one of the many successful partnerships that developed from last year’s show.

The London Deli Co.

In January 2016, the TickEat team (Innoveat’s parent brand) were delighted to start working with The London Deli Co. As a brand, they create a bespoke range of luxury products including preserves, biscuits, crisps and confectionery. Their aim is to offer the very best British treats to everyone, wherever they are in the world.

Having created miniature package sizes that were an ideal fit for the travel industry, the TickEat team started to explore options within train and airline companies. But as with many things, timing was key and unfortunately, menu change dates had already come and gone for that period.

Targeting key buyers

Knowing what a great fit their products were for the sector, The London Deli Co. decided to add exhibiting at Innoveat to their marketing and sales strategy. As this exhibition is specifically targeted to travel and leisure industry buyers, every visitor they spoke to had the potential to be a new client. This face-to-face meet and greet aspect provided an ideal foundation for building a direct producer/buyer relationship. The buyers were also able to give honest product feedback and offer advice as to how they could make their products an even better fit for their particular sectors.

One of those conversations was with the buyer from British Airways, one of the UK’s biggest airlines. Having tasted the quality of the range at Innoveat, further direct discussions ensued after the show. This resulted in the launch on 1st May 2017 of two products from The London Deli Co’s range – luxury crisps and a biscuit twin pack – within World Traveller Plus.

Innoveat’s value extends to both parties

Innoveat was the catalyst in creating this partnership and both parties found huge benefits in exhibiting and attending. British Airways buyer Andy Rusk said,

Innoveat – a great show. Well organised with innovative products, fresh ideas and new suppliers, exactly what I wanted to see. Can’t wait for the next one!

Craig Benton from The London Deli Co. was equally as pleased:

I am very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of TickEat, the team are a pleasure to work with and I hope there are many more years of good business to come.

This is just one of the many examples from 2016 that demonstrates the benefits for buyers and brands making direct contact at the show. With a constant demand for new products and innovation within the travel and leisure sector, Innoveat is a highly targeted environment that enables both parties to create successful and long-standing relationships.
