At Innoveat 2018, we are launching our new snack/meal box brand called NavigATE, and have teamed up with BEAR Nibbles to create a BEAR box by NavigATE; an interactive and healthy snack box for children.
How did the partnership evolve?
BEAR Nibbles create children’s snacks with health-based USPs:
- All BEAR snacks provide at least 1 of your 5-a-day
- Each one contains a minimum of 80g of fresh fruit & veg
- They are made from whole fruits and vegetables and never use fruit juice concentrates
They have a range of products including:
- Yoyos – Pure fruit rolls available in six different flavours and a sour range available in three flavours
- Paws – Pure fruit paw shapes suitable for toddlers 12 months+ in four flavours
- Claws – Fruit pieces made from 1/3 veg and 2/3 fruit available in four flavours
As experts in the travel and leisure sectors, we are always looking to work with producers that are keen to expand into this category. They had been looking to develop their presence in this area to bring their range of snacks to a new audience, and so discussions began.
What makes this different from other boxes?
Partnering up was a natural fit. We both felt that launching a children’s snack box with the combined parental recognition of the BEAR Nibbles brand and our vast experience in the sector would immediately strengthen their chances of succeeding.
Having studied this market in detail, we know that other boxes for children have previously been launched, however, this BEAR box by NavigATE differentiates itself by targeting a wider audience that ranges from 2-12 years old.
What will the BEAR box by NavigATE contain?
The box will be filled with around 4 to 5 products each containing a selection of healthy products including:
- BEAR nibbles
- Savoury snack
- Up to two other snacking products
The inside of the box will be an activity sheet so they can draw or colour with the colouring pencils provided.
As every parent knows, travelling long distances with excited children can be an interesting challenge! This BEAR box by NavigATE supplies a good range of delicious snacks which can be spaced out over time. Many children don’t want to be restricted to sitting down to a full meal at a set time when travelling, and the interactive element of the activity sheet doubles up as a form of quiet entertainment.
How will the boxes change?
Each year, the BEAR box by NavigATE branding will be based on a theme. In 2018, the theme was BEAR’S Space Race which included online gaming and 60 different collectable cards found in BEAR yoyo packs.
